Ahoy there I’m Sailor Jerri. I am a Bay Area native and I got my BA degree in Sexuality Studies from UC Davis, a program housed in the Women & Gender Studies department, and minored in Human Development. My research was on sexualized and gendered objects, I studied everything from Barbie to Butt Plugs! I spent over seven years as the Education Director of a Local Mom and Pop Sex Shop, connecting with the Santa Cruz community through Health Education and Smut Peddling. I am a certified graduate from The SFSI (San Francisco Sex Information) Sex Educator's Training and a member of the SFSI Speaker Panel. I have a passion for health education and I love sharing fact-­based information and real life risk reduction life­skills with people. I know how to make people feel entertained and comfortable and how to make the uncomfortable approachable. Above all I am a Community Builder, and I believe a community is built on genuine personal connections.​ Sex, sexuality, health, and the social ethics related to these topics can make one feel lost as sea which is why I consistently return to my “Seven C’s” as a compass to navigate these choppy waters.
